RESERVE YOUR SLOT.
INVITE YOUR SQUAD.
EsportsChamp doesn't have permanent team sign-ups. Instead, you reserve a tournament slot and invite your teammates directly into it — solo, duo, or squad.
Play Formats
Pick a format that matches your squad size. Each slot holds exactly the right number of players for that format.
Solo
You play alone. Reserve a single player slot in any solo tournament. No invitation needed — just reserve and confirm.
Duo
Reserve a duo slot and invite one partner by referral code. Both of you must have Game KYC approved before you can play.
Squad
Reserve a squad slot and invite 3 teammates by referral code. The player who reserves the slot becomes the captain.
Classic & Arena Tournaments
How to reserve a slot and get your squad into a single-match tournament.
Pick an Available Slot
Open a tournament and browse available slots (T1, T2, T3…). Tap any open slot to reserve it. You become the captain of that slot.
Invite Teammates (Duo / Squad)
Enter your teammate's referral code to send them a slot invite. You have 5 minutes to fill all positions before the reservation expires. Solo players skip this step.
Teammates Accept & Pay
Each invited player gets a notification. When they accept, the entry fee is deducted from their wallet. If they decline, the position reopens for another invite.
Captain Confirms
Once your squad is ready, you (the captain) confirm the reservation. Your entry fee is deducted and the slot is locked. Everyone gets a confirmation notification.
5-Minute Invite Window
Once you reserve a slot, you have exactly 5 minutes to invite all your teammates. Have their referral codes ready before you hit Reserve — the clock starts immediately.
Multi-Round Tournaments
Multi-Round tournaments span multiple rounds. You only register once — for Round 1. Advancement from there is earned on the field.
Register for Round 1 Only
Multi-Round tournaments have multiple rounds. You only reserve a slot for Round 1 — the same captain + invite flow as Classic.
Play Round 1
Compete in Round 1. Top performers from each match advance automatically — no re-registration needed.
Advance to the Next Round
If your team qualifies, you move directly into Round 2, then Round 3, and so on. The rounds keep raising the bar.
One True Champion
The team that survives every round and wins the Final is the champion. There is no shortcut — every round must be earned.
Game KYC Required for Every Player
Every player — captain or invited teammate — must have their in-game name (IGN) and game UID verified before they can join any slot. This is how EsportsChamp ensures 100% verified players in every match.
How to complete Game KYCFAQ
What is a slot? How is it different from a team?
A slot is a reserved spot for your group in a specific tournament (e.g., T1, T2). You don't need a pre-existing team — any player can reserve a slot and invite others by referral code. A slot is tournament-specific and expires if not confirmed in time.
How do I invite someone to my slot?
After reserving a slot, use your teammate's referral code to invite them. They'll receive an in-app notification. You have 5 minutes to fill all positions, so have your team's referral codes ready before you reserve.
What happens if my teammate declines or doesn't respond in time?
If a teammate declines, their position reopens and you can invite someone else — as long as the 5-minute window hasn't expired. If the window expires, the reservation is cancelled automatically and all accepted players get a refund.
Who pays the entry fee?
Each player pays individually. When a teammate accepts your invite, the entry fee is deducted from their wallet. When you (the captain) confirm the reservation, your entry fee is deducted.
Can I cancel a reservation?
Yes, the captain can cancel a reserved slot before confirming. All accepted players receive an automatic refund to their wallet.
Do I need a team created to join Multi-Round tournaments?
No. Multi-Round tournaments use the same slot reservation flow as Classic. You reserve a Round 1 slot, invite your squad, confirm — and if you advance, you move to the next round automatically.
Do all players need Game KYC?
Yes. Every player — captain and invited teammates — must have approved Game KYC (in-game name and UID verified) before they can join any slot.
What is a referral code?
Every EsportsChamp account has a unique referral code. You can find yours in your profile. Captains use their teammates' referral codes to invite them into a slot.
